Patrick started his career as a Deck Cadet in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary. His later sea service included considerable experience in the offshore industry. Articles with Eversheds followed an Honours degree in Law and Law Society Finals. Patrick Joined the North of England P & I Association in 1992. His main specialty is ‘people claims’ and he has handled many major incidents including the ‘MARCHIONESS’ ferry disaster on behalf of the ‘BOWBELLE’ interests. He has worked with several major ferry companies to develop Disaster Response Plans. Patrick left NEPIA to form Marine Response at the end of 1998. He has been involved in many major claims worldwide. He has had extensive experience of U.S. litigation. Patrick recently qualified as an accredited Mediator.
Patrick is a member of the Law Society and the Nautical Institute.
Gillian Graduated from Edinburgh University School of Medicine in 1983 and completed specialist training in 1987. Gillian advises on all aspects of personal injury, illness and crew pre employment medical examinations PEMEs). Gillian is a principal in General Practice.
Dan commenced his career as an engineer cadet with CP and served in many types of vessel. Dan achieved an honours degree, B Eng, in Marine Engineering at Newcastle University. After some years working in the power industry, he became a manager in various ship yards including Cammel Laird in Tyneside. More recently Dan has been in charge of off shore vessel building projects for BUE Marine. He is able to provide H & M surveys, damage appraisals and expert opinion on major technical failures. He has considerable experience of safe - working practice and ISM/ ISO9002. Dan has vast experience in the FSU block of countries.
After serving as a Third Officer with a leading international tanker company, John has worked ashore for ship owners and managers for over thirty years. He has gained wide ranging experience of handling P&I and hull and machinery claims. As an insurance manager he has also negotiated marine insurance arrangements for a variety of ship operators.
Allan serves a consultant in Offshore & Marine Engineering. He holds a Class 1 Certificate (combined) and also an MBA. Allan has many years experience in project management, auditing and marine engineering trouble shooting. Highly experienced in areas such as craneage, d.p. propulsion, and high voltage power transmission.
