Patrick Bond

Patrick started his career as a Deck Cadet in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary. His later sea service included considerable experience in the offshore industry. Articles with Eversheds followed an Honours degree in Law and Law Society Finals. Patrick Joined the North of England P & I Association in 1992. His main specialty is ‘people claims’ and he has handled many major incidents including the ‘MARCHIONESS’ ferry disaster on behalf of the ‘BOWBELLE’ interests. He has worked with several major ferry companies to develop Disaster Response Plans. Patrick left NEPIA to form Marine Response at the end of 1998. He has been involved in many major claims worldwide. He has had extensive experience of U.S. litigation. Patrick recently qualified as an accredited Mediator.

Patrick is a member of the Law Society and the Nautical Institute.

John Jones

After serving as a Third Officer with a leading international tanker company, John has worked ashore for ship owners and managers for over thirty years. He has gained wide ranging experience of handling P&I and hull and machinery claims. As an insurance manager he has also negotiated marine insurance arrangements for a variety of ship operators.

Peter Jackson

Following his early career as a Police Officer, Peter gained his BA Law Degree from Durham University and moved into marine mutual insurance. After moving to London he spent twelve years with the UK P&I Club, the biggest of the marine liability mutuals, which is managed by Thomas Miller. Latterly he headed the Club's team responsible for "people claims" and remains a vocal contributor on employer liability, passenger transport, occupational disease and other related topics in the industry. He is a Member of both the International Institute of Risk & Safety Managers and the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

Stephen Hunt

A Maritime Studies graduate from Cardiff University, Stephen worked for a pipeline engineering consultancy before working on Asset Management projects for the telecoms and aggregates industries in Australia. On returning to the UK he joined Thomas Miller and spent several years working on crew, passenger and offshore claims for the UK P&I Club. He has particular experience in the Near/Middle Eastern, Asian, African and US regions.

Hanne Lehmann-Taylor

Hanne initially trained as a ship's agent in her native Denmark. She has since gained experience within tanker chartering in London and tanker operations with a shipowner in Copenhagen. In recent years, whilst living in the Netherlands, she has worked for some of the leading commodity trading houses in their contract execution departments dealing with all aspects of commodity contracts and trade finance tools. Hanne was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers in 2001.

Dr Gillian Arbuckle

Gillian Graduated from Edinburgh University School of Medicine in 1983 and completed specialist training in 1987. Gillian advises on all aspects of personal injury, illness and crew pre employment medical examinations PEMEs). Gillian is a principal in General Practice.
